DIY TIPS TO REMOVE MOLD FROM THE REFRIGERATOR

In order to keep our food cool and safe to eat, refrigerators work around the clock. Being in constant use and contact with perishable food means the average refrigerator could be filled with harmful bacteria, crumbs and even mold.

Cleaning them off can be very hard sometimes! Specially during busy schedules. Fortunately, there are few easy and quick tricks to remove that from your fridge.

Natural and nontoxic cleaning agents are better for both the environment and your health – it is a win, win situation.

Common Sense? but we still have to say it: To make your refrigerator mold -free, you first have to remove everything from the refrigerator.

Fill a small bowl with some water and squeeze a half a lemon in it. Peel the other half and place the peels in the water bowl. Put the dish in the microwave for 3 minutes or if you do not have a microwave, heat the pan till it reaches the maximum boiling point.

Finally put the hot bowl directly into the refrigerator and close it. Watch out because it is hot! Let the bowl steam inside for half an hour and clean the fridge with a dish cloth.

You can also try a mixture of baking soda and warm water. It makes an ideal solution to tackle fridge mold. Simply add two tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of warm water and stir until the baking soda is completely dissolved.

You should also clean out the foods from your fridge on a weekly basis to prevent bacteria.
